Patrick Forsyth - Patrick Forsyth

Patrick Forsyth works as a management consultant and trainer, running Touchstone Training & Consultancy in the United Kingdom. His background is in marketing, but he deals with a broad range of issues, with an emphasis on communications skills (including business writing). As well as running courses and speaking at conferences he writes and has a long list of books (around 100) and articles on business, management, communications skills, careers and more published and books translated into 24 languages. These include: Successful time management, Disaster proof your career and The PowerPoint Detox (all published by Kogan Page). He has written, edited, co-written and ghost written books and having started his career working with a publishing company has many links with the publishing world, not least working to help publicise his own publications.

He treasures one review of his business writing that said: Patrick has a lucid and elegant style of writing which allows him to present information in a way that is organised, focused and easy to apply (in the magazine Professional Marketing)

He has a broad interest in writing. He writes for the U.K.’s “Writing Magazine”, is a member of a writing group, a speaker at others and one of the few men who are members of the Society of Women Writers and Journalists (indeed being in the minority here is an advantage!). He has also had two books of light-hearted travel writing published (First class at last! and A land like none you know; both recording journeys in South East Asia. He is working on a third travel book and also works at expanding his range, occasionally writing stories and has even – at the goading of the writing group – written a poem … which was published!

So he is a potential writing collaborator, a trainer or conference speaker, a copywriter, and more – meantime he lives (and writes) overlooking the River Blackwater and will one day get around to more general writing and perhaps even a novel. At present having just signed up to Suite 101 he is aiming to join its published writers soon. PS now done!
